Our Beliefs

We Believe that...

• There is one God, eternally existing as three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
• Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, is wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave and ascended into Heaven.
• There will be a literal, imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth.
• The Bible is the Word of God without any error, the sole authority for life.
• Mankind fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and that all people are sinners in need of salvation.
• Salvation is a gift of grace from God received through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  
• Every person who truly is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Those persons who die without faith in Jesus Christ spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven, through faith in Christ, spend eternity in Heaven.
• Baptism is in obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation.
• The church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the head.
• Each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Purpose

Did you ever wonder what on earth you are here for? The Bible teaches that God created you with five purposes in mind:
Worship - you were planned for God's pleasure.
Fellowship - you were formed to be part of God's family.
Discipleship - you were created to become like Christ.
Ministry - you were shaped for God's service.
Evangelism - you were made to tell others about Christ.
The purpose of STF in simplest terms is to provide an environment where people can learn how to fulfill these purposes.

Worship
The Bible teaches that we can worship God by the way we live our lives. In addition, we worship Him when we come together as a group. STF provides several worship opportunities where you can join with others seeking to better understand the Lord through praying, singing, and studying God's Word.
Fellowship
God wants you to be part of His family, and He created STF to be one of the most important homes you will ever have. We strive to provide an environment in which you feel safe and loved. There are many ways in which you can get to know others in your church family at STF. Some examples include our annual Spring Fling, Small Groups, Bible study classes, Men's and Women's Ministry activities, and softball games.
Discipleship
From the very beginning, God's plan has been to make you like his Son, Jesus Christ. STF is committed to help you learn how to be more like Christ. In addition to our worship services, we have other venues that provide a more intimate environment for you to grow in your relationship with Him. Some of the opportunities we provide are Bible Study Classes, Small Groups, Discipleship Groups and special classes conducted through Men's and Women's ministries.
Ministry
God designed you to make a difference with your life. God designed STF to give you a place to make a difference. By understanding your spiritual gifts and utilizing them, you will feel more fulfilled than you can imagine.STF has many areas in which you can utilize your gifts. Evangelism
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt 28:19-20
We were created to know God and to spread the news of His Son to people in our lives. Sharing Christ with others has become a lifestyle for many people at STF. In addition to teaching people to share Christ as a lifestyle, STF provides opportunities to spread the gospel with people outside our community by sponsoring several mission trips each year.
