Can I attend the church even if I'm not a member?
Absolutely. We are happy to have non-members be part of our worship services.
Why would I want to join?
When you become a member of the STF family, you have opportunities available to you that must be "guarded" from the general public, just as you would guard your family from "just anyone" watching your children. Some opportunities include playing in the worship band, watching toddlers in the nursery, and serving on a committee.
What are the requirements to join?
It's as simple as A-B-C:
- A -- Accept Christ as your personal Savior.
- B -- Be baptized by immersion after salvation.
- C -- Complete the three Shoreline membership classes.
What does it mean to "accept Christ as my personal Savior"?
Perhaps this will help. Making the Connection Booklet
What are the Shoreline membership classes?
The three classes are required for all prospective members. Topics of discussion include salvation, baptism, Lord's supper, history of STF, our mission statement, beliefs, staff, and structure. Classes are offered the first three Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. Exact dates appear weekly in the Sunday Shoreline bulletin, monthly Buzz newsletter, and website calendar.
