Meet The Need

We have partnered with an organization called Meet the Need to enable us to more effectively serve both our church and the local community.

When you sign up on the MTN website (sub-hosted through our main STF website) you can:

-  help a local family in need

-  help a local church/ministry

-  volunteer locally with a missions organization

By entering your ZIP code you can immediately see critical needs in your local area.

For example, as I logged in this morning, I saw in the 33611 area that needs included toys/board games for a single mother with 3 children; boys clothes age 11-14 for a widow/single mother… If you can help with these needs, the website guides you through, and in most cases, you will bring the items to the church where we will take the responsibility of taking it to the recipient.

It’s an excellent opportunity for the church to meet real needs and offer compassion and help in the local community, connecting them not only to things they need, but also a caring, church family.

Our church will also post needs for its own ministries, such as our Food Packing event where we packed over 100,000 meals for Haiti in one evening. You will be able to sign up for such events through the MTN subsite.

If you want to volunteer in the local community, you can also find plenty of opportunities here to join organizations in feeding the homeless, counseling women with unplanned pregnancies, fund raising, or serving in multiple other ways.
